B & B Specialties was formed in March of 1998 to furnish and install construction specialties in the commercial construction industry. The company was established by Tom Bardsley and his son, David Bardsley in March of 1998. As of 2011, David purchased 85% of the company’s shares and is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer. Tom is now a 15% shareholder and with plans set in place for near future retirement.
B & B Specialties began selling operable walls, accordion folding partitions, toilet room partitions and toilet room accessories out of a one room office in downtown Salt Lake City.
Since then, lockers, floor mats, projection screens, fire extinguishers and cabinets, skylights, crash rail and wall protection, cubicle curtain and track, lockers, draperies and blinds and many other products, too numerous to list, have been added to the company's portfolio list. With the continued growth of the company, B&B moved into a little bit roomier building with two offices and a small warehouse in Sandy Utah back in 2000. With the continued growth that B & B Specialties experienced in that epic two office warehouse space, they were forced to move yet again in 2003, and hopefully a final time, to a roomier 5 office building with triple the space of their last location, in Draper, Utah. B&B Specialties is also a manufacturer’s representative and dealer for skylights, operable walls, and toilet partitions.
With a full staff, in-house installation crews, and installation sub-contractors, B&B has been forward moving in growth and industry standards that far exceed their competitions product base and knowledge. B&B Specialties is looking forward to the continued projected growth in the State of Utah and are excited to be apart of such an amazing industry.
